Reichstein, M. (2014).

Due to the rapid increase of derivatives in the financial industry, the pricing of these become more and more important. In this thesis different kinds of methods for pricing, the terms deflator, valuation portfolio and Esscher transform are introduced to the reader. Based on an example from the book "Financial Modeling, Actuarial Valuation and Solvency in Insurance" by Wüthrich-Merz, I try the construction of a deflator by using the Esscher transform. The results are useful and satisfying, meaning that the values are similar to the method used in the book.
