Abstract:

This diploma thesis treats a problem in the context of dynamic principal component analysis. In order to solve the optimization problem of the PCA, a transfer function is deduced from the spectral density matrix of a multivariate stationary stochastic process. Thereby, the spectral density matrix which depends analytically on a real parameter has to be decomposed into eigenvalues and -vectors. In this diploma thesis, the questions as to whether the eigenvalues and -vectors depend as well analytically on the real parameter (even if there are multiple eigenvalues) and whether the transfer function creates stationary output for stationary input are answered positively.
