Bachmann, M. (2020).

Behind walls is a work where vacantness is seen as potential, desire as incentive, handcraft as a general principle and room delimitations as a strategy. Communication and creative work will hereby be perceived as aspects to ensure the revitalisation of unutilised edificial structures. The drafts purpose implies the continuous development of the established, the restructuralisation of the unused and the completion of the whole through addition, by learning from the past, tying up to it and initiating novel concepts. The immaterial cultural assets seen as the population‘s reservoir will be reflected in an experimental workshop. By offering the rooms for temporary use and by establishing an experimental playground through targeted unplanned free spaces promoting development and visions cultural innovations will be rendered possible, as a sort of temporary laboratory. The basis thereof will be constituted by exchange, in the processes of creation and living. By responding to the fencing the draft develops within as well as with the walls creating a new redesigned space. The possibility for constant change and the stimulation of communication beyond (the premises) limits will be endorsed by the heteroge-neity of its usage and the related diversity of its actors. Residents will become caretakers: a parallel operating microcos-mos will form.
