Abstract:

The energy production of wind power plants is increasing year by year. These wind power plants will be decentralized connected to the grid. As a consequence, these wind parks have to put more focus more at the connection requirements. The connection requirements are different in each country. This means it is necessary to customize the power plant power output for each country. This thesis will analyse and compare the grid codes of Austria and Romania with the guideline of the European Union. An example wind park with an installed maximum capacity of 226 MW will be simulated. The wind park is divided into three clusters. All simulations of the wind park will be done with power flow simulations by using the "Neplan - Electricity" software. The main focus of the simulations is going to be the maximum load and the partial load simulations. The results of the simulations will be analysed with the aim to check if the wind park stays within the limits of the grid codes. A comparison of the simulated and the real losses of the wind park will also be presented.
