Der Weiterbildungsmehrwert (WBM) : eine empirische Untersuchung zum finanziellen Nutzen von Weiterbildungsveranstaltungen in Kärnten / Michael Alexander Ertl
Weitere Titel
The added value of further education : an empirical study of the financial benefits of further education in Carinthia
Abstract
The following research investigates the further education habits of the population of Carinthia and is concerned with the financial benefits of investment in further education. Hypotheses are formed and reviewed following the evaluation of a questionnaire. An indicator is introduced which is designed to provide information on educational quality, efficiency and effectiveness. It refers to the monetary added value for the individual, as well as to the economic growth of a nation's gross domestic product. The results show that there is room for improvement in the Carinthian further education market, since investment in further education measures often fails to offer financial advantages.
On account of the unrepresentative survey results, no firm statement can be made about the connection between further education opportunities and economic growth.
