In view of the current global challenges such as climate change, the concept of sustainability is increasingly becoming the focus of politics, the economy and the population in general. With the attempt to introduce the concept of sustainability at different city levels, it is also making its way into urban and neighbourhood development. In Luxembourg, for example, new neighbourhoods are being planned according to this guiding principle. Under the rese- arch question: "Does the project 'Wunne mat der Wooltz' fulfill the objectives of the study of the Third Industrial Revolution, the National Plan for Sustainable Development and sustainable urban and neighbourhood development?", the housing project will be evaluated on the basis of different indicators drawn from the objectives of sustainable neighbourhood development. By including the project in the study of the Third Industrial Revolution and the National Plan for Sustainable Development, different objectives are pursued. These were to be analysed through the indicators and with the help of the master plan, expert interviews and a questionnaire. It was found that sustainability is a topic that has reached the awaren- ess of the population and the respondents would like to be involved in the government's plans and projects in this area. With regard to the question, it could be established that se- veral goals are being achieved according to the current status of the project 'Wunne mat der Wooltz'. However, in some parts it could also be asserted that improvements are still desired. Considering the current state of the project, the present research work and the indicators it contains could be used after the completion of the planning work and after the completion of the project in general to assess whether the stated objectives are still being pursued and achieved.
