AbstractThe phenomenon of attitude is just as much known as the phenomenon of competence development. We need to critically regard a developed set of values and how this set of values, also defined as inner attitude of teachers and tutors of health care and nursing, can be used in the process of teaching and tutoring in order to promote the development of skills and competence in the learning process of the student. The discovery of various attitudes towards personal development as well as the definition and differentiation of the construct competence also need to be clarified. These foundations for an activating tutor-student-relationship as well as the question which role the factors attentiveness and emotions in this growth might play are examined and analysed by means of extensive research and comparison of literature. Hattie verifies in his scientific studies how recognition and visualisation of learning can be successful because of sympathetic tutors. He favours didactic methods which can be implemented in order to develop skills and competence of learners. These collected findings prove the personal responsibility of teachers and tutors not only to design improved teaching dynamics, but they also require necessary skills and competence such as controlling emotions and motivation, authenticity, transparency or structure. The development of a self-reflecting personality, presented in the PSI-theory by Kuhl, combined with professional and high communicative sensitivity as well as the knowledge of tools such as language of health care and nursing by teachers and tutors confirm how the promotion of self-competence and social-communicative competence in the educational training for health care and nursing can be successful and productive on a personal level between tutors and learners by means of effective communication and feedback as methodically implemented tools. |
