Die vorliegende Masterarbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Partizipation von MigrantInnen/ Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund an Weiterbildungsmaßnahmen zum Erwerb Interkultureller Kompetenzen. Grundlage für meine Arbeit bilden die theoretischen Konzepte über die ? laut Literatur gegebene ? Unterrepräsentation von MigrantInnen/ Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund an solchen Maßnahmen. Im Zentrum meiner Untersuchung stand zum einen inwieweit MigrantInnen/ Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund eine explizite Zielgruppe von Lehrgängen zum Erwerb Interkultureller Kompetenz sind und, ob eventuell davon ausgegangen wird, dass sie bereits per se über eine Interkulturelle Kompetenz verfügen. Zum zweiten untersuchte ich welche Angebote an Lehrgängen zum Erwerb Interkultureller Kompetenz von MigrantInnen/ Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund genutzt werden und, wie diese Personengruppe in solchen Lehrgängen berücksichtigt ist. Dazu wurden Interviews mit LeiterInnen universitärer Weiterbildungsangebote und niederschwelliger Angebote geführt. In der Arbeit wurde ersichtlich, dass MigrantInnen/ Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund nur insoweit explizite Zielgruppe von Weiterbildungen im Bereich der Interkulturellen Kompetenz sind, als dass sie der Gesamtzielgruppe ? das sind Menschen, die diese Kompetenzen beruflich benötigen ? entsprechen. Die Partizipation von MigrantInnen/ Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund an Weiterbildungen zum Erwerb Interkultureller Kompetenz korreliert stark mit deren beruflicher Position, welche selbstverständlich im Zusammenhang mit den Möglichkeiten ihrer Partizipation an (Weiter-) Bildung steht. Aus diesem Grund müssen rechtliche, institutionelle und strukturelle Diskriminierungen, die diese Menschen an der Teilnahme an (Weiter-)Bildungsmaßnahmen hindern, abgebaut werden.

The subject of the present master thesis concentrates on the participation of migrants/ people with migration background on further educational measures for the acquirement of intercultural competences. The basis are the theoretical concepts of the under-representation of migrants/ people with migration background on such measures. The particular focus of my studies is on the one hand to what extent are migrants/ people with migration background an explicit target group of courses for the acquirement of intercultural competences and whether it could be expected that they dispose per se of intercultural competences. On the other hand I analysed which offers of courses for the acquirement of intercultural competences are used by migrants/ people with migration background and how this group of people is considered in these courses. For this purpose I conducted interviews with heads of university institutions and low-threshold programs. In the course of this work it became obvious that migrants/ people with migration background are only insofar an explicit target group of measures for the acquirement of intercultural competences, as they are a part of the total target group ? these are people, who need these skills for their professions. The participation of migrants/ people with migration background for the acquirement of intercultural competences strongly correlates with their professional position, which is of course associated with their possibilities of their participation in (further)education. For this reason legal, institutional and structural discrimination, which prevents these people from the participation in (further) educational measures, must be abandoned.
