JHWH, Gott, Allah – Welche Gemeinsamkeiten finden sich in den Gottesbildern der drei großen monotheistischen Weltreligionen und worin unterscheiden sie sich? Und inwiefern kann eine Auseinandersetzung mit Themen wie diesen im Rahmen des katholischen Religionsunterrichts der Sekundarstufe II zur Pluralitätsfähigkeit innerhalb der vorherrschenden vielfältigen Gesellschaft führen? Die Erkundung dieser Frage soll das zentrale Forschungsanliegen der vorliegenden Studie sein. Zur Ergründung des Vorhabens wird in vier Schritten vorgegangen. Im ersten Schritt beschäftige ich mich zunächst mit den gesellschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen und versuche, ein aktuelles Bild jugendlicher Gotteskonzeptionen zu erschließen. Im zweiten Schritt wird eine konkrete Auseinandersetzung mit interreligiösen Bildungskonzepten, deren Definitionen sowie deren Zielen Aufschluss über die Charakteristik als auch die Relevanz interreligiöser Bildungssettings geben. Im Anschluss daran erfolgt eine Analyse der aktuellen Unter- und Oberstufenlehrpläne für den katholischen Religionsunterricht auf interreligiöse Anknüpfungspunkte, Inhalte und Kompetenzformulierungen, ehe ein Überblick über allgemeine Herausforderungen rund um die Rede von Gott im Kontext des Religionsunterrichts dargeboten wird. Auch eine kritische Betrachtung aktuell auffindbarer Unterrichtsideen zur hier fokussierten Thematik der Gottesbilder in den abrahamitischen Religionen soll Aufschluss über das Forschungsanliegen geben. Im vierten und letzten Schritt der Arbeit wird anhand zwei eigens entworfener Unterrichtsbausteine präsentiert, wie JHWH, Gott und Allah konkret Teil interreligiöser Bildungsvorhaben im katholischen Religionsunterricht der Sekundarstufe II werden können.

YHWH, God, Allah - What do the pictures of God in the three big monotheistic world religions have in common and what is the difference between them? And what is more, how can discussing and dealing with these differences and common aspects in lessons of Catholic religious instruction in upper secondary schools lead to an ability to understand and live in our pluralistic, diverse society in a more competent and more reflected way? The exploration of this question should be the central research concern of this thesis. The project is based on four steps. In the first step, I will deal with the social framework and will try to illustrate the currently predominant picture of God among young people. In the second step, a deeper examination of interreligious educational concepts, their definitions and their goals will give an insight into the characteristics as well as the relevance of interreligious educational settings. Following this, an analysis of current lower and upper secondary education curricula for Catholic religious education is based on interfaith points of reference, content, and competency formulations before providing an overview of general challenges about how to talk about God in religious education. A critical examination of currently used teaching ideas concerning the images of God in the Abrahamic religions, should also provide information about the research interests. In the fourth and final step of the work, two specially designed lesson modules be presented, showing, how YHWH, God and Allah can be part of interreligious educational projects in Catholic religious education in secondary education.
