Die vorliegende Masterarbeit bietet die Erstedition des ‚Iatromathematischen Hausbuchs‘ des Codex Wien, ÖNB, 3085 (fol. 1r–39v), einer deutschsprachigen Sammelhandschrift, die auf das Jahr 1475 datiert wird. Die Papierhandschrift ist in einer Bastarda geschrieben und mit 158 kolorierten Federzeichnungen versehen. Auf den fol.s 1r–39v finden sich thematisch zusammengehörige Texte, die u.a. unter der Bezeichnung ‚Iatromathematisches Hausbuch‘ bekannt sind. Es handelt sich um Texte astronomisch-astrologischer Natur, die im Kontext des medizinischen Wissens der Humoralpathologie zu sehen sind. Dabei werden vorsokratische Naturerklärungen, späthippokratische Säftelehre, babylonische Astrologie und antike Diätetik aufeinander abgestimmt. Bedingt durch den astrologischen Aspekt finden sich in iatromathematischen Hausbüchern meist Kalendarien, die zur Berechnung verschiedener Sternenkonstellationen dienen. Diese Art der Gebrauchsliteratur stellt keinen einheitlichen Text dar, sondern ist vielmehr eine Kompilation verschiedener Texte, die in unterschiedlichen Varianten überliefert ist. So finden sich nach dem Kalenderteil u.a. Traktate zu den Tierkreiszeichen, Ausführungen zur Planetenlehre, Abhandlungen zur Komplexionslehre und ein ausführlicher Teil zur Aderlasslehre. - Die vorliegende Edition basiert auf dem Konzept der ‚Dynamischen Edition‘. Dieses mehrstufige Editionsmodell ermöglicht es, eine Basistransliteration mit einem Maximum an paläografischen Informationen bereitzustellen und eine standardisierte Lesefassung anzubieten, die sich für inhaltliche Analysen eignet. Ziel ist es, unterschiedlichen Fachbereichen jeweils eine optimale Materialgrundlage für vielfältige Forschungsanliegen zu bieten. Die Transparenz der editorischen Arbeit wird u. a. durch die synoptische Darstellung mit dem Faksimile der Handschrift unterstützt. Ergänzt wird die Edition durch ein Graphinventar, ein Glossar zur leichteren Erschließung des Textes sowie eine stoffgeschichtlichen Einordnung.

This master-thesis presents the first edition of the ‚iatromathematical house book‘ from the manuscript Vienna, ÖNB, 3085 (fol. 1r–39v). The Codex is a collected manuscript of German texts of varying content and is dated to the year 1475. The paper manuscript is written in a bastarda and illuminated with 158 coloured illustrations. The texts on fol.s 1r-39v are a collection of thematically related texts, which among other things are known by the name ‚iatromathematical house book’. They are astronomic-astrological texts which are to be seen in context with the medical theories of humours: pre-Socratic explanations of nature, late Hippocratic humourism, Babylonian astrology and ancient dietetics are related to each other. Due to the astrological aspect these house books also contain calendars which are used to calculate various planetary configurations. This type of special literature is not one consistent text, but they are rather a compilation of various texts which are handed down in different transmissions. Following the calendar, there are treatises on the zodiacal signs, theories of the planets, moon-prediction texts, treatises on humourism and detailed doctrines for phlebotomy, medicinal bathing and cupping. - The present edition is based on the concept of dynamic editing by Andrea Hofmeister-Winter. This multilevel edition model provides a base transliteration with a maximum of palaeographic information and additionally offers a carefully standardized reading text, which can be the source for content-based analysis. The aim is to offer various scholarly fields a diverse material basis which allows for varying research interests. The transparency of the editorial work is supported by the synoptic representation of facsimile and edited text. The edition is completed by a graphemic inventory, a glossary, that will help to facilitate understanding of the text, and furthermore, the collection is put into historical context and compared with similar texts.
